My biggest gripe against the rich is how they don't face equal legal consequences. I'd be in prison if I slapped Chris Rock, or shot my director on set, or was at fault for vehicular manslaughter.

one nuance that wasn’t covered is that if you’re measuring virtue by how much other people spend on your goods & services, then the people who have more money will have more say in it.

it’s like you get more “votes” as to who is most virtuous the more money you have

Dr. Mike, might be a good idea as the series goes on to flash a graphic showing the topics/categories covered in previous videos and where this video falls. Would be helpful, at least for me and I’m sure for others, too.

The eye of a needle was / is a gate in Jerusalem that's barely big enough for a camel to pass through. The point as listeners of the parable would have physically seen happen, is that the camel must be willing to discard everything and humble itself ( by crouching to fit through the gate) in order to enter the "narrow way" of virtue. In this case the rich man was asking what ELSE he must do in order to merit heaven. The point was never that getting rich is evil.

Even before Excel, the creation of a massively adopted graphical user interface for the personal computer (Windows) literally changed the world.

The love of money is the root of all evil, money is not evil.

Being financially independent is a moral power move because it enables you to speak your mind almost any situation, not being afraid of the consequences. The fact that free speech is the most valuable property of a society and that it's NOT a human right but a hard earned privilege makes financial independence a true virtue in its own right.

Getting straight to the point of this comment, you should make a video about how to teach (I'd say you're super qualified to speak on the topic).

Dr. Mike, you articulate your ideas here and lessons (over at RP) so well.
I've gotten so much progress in my fitness from RP due to your awesome explanations and, like you, would like to be a teacher by profession though a different field since you got fitness sorted for us. I really hope that someday you make a video, course, or whatever explaining how to articulate things to impart knowledge so well. Guidellines how you structure information. What you consider before starting your lectures, videos etc. and how you don't ramble so much that the point is forgotten or its impact lessened, etc. I doubt I'm the only one who would benefit from this or even be willing to pay for it. It would be an amazing resource for teachers everywhere as well as those who simply want to learn to be more articulate which I think we caould all agree is a value adding activity.
