Everyone mentions the writing and cinematography while mentioning this film. And rightfully so. But the costume design is underrated

I love the visuals. I think that plays a huge role in the movies popularity. The woman’s dresses, the man’s coiffed hair, the lighting and color of the walls, it’s stunning and captivating

Rightfully much recognition is heaped on those superb actors! <br>Wong Kar-Wai’s “no script” directing style relied heavily on actors’ emotional range and depth.
