Jenova cant blend with the lifestream(far plane)cause she's not native to gaia and maybe the cetra didnt know about the send ritual thus making it impossible to kill her for good and if yunaleska turned into a that medusa thing imagine how much she cant morph or even learn and evolve....it's a solid theory

I don’t remember where but I saw a YouTube video a long while ago with FF devs and they’ve essentially confirmed multiple times in multiple interviews that FFVII and X are completely connected as far as they are concerned . Much to Sebbywebz’s dismay 😂

Otherwise I don’t think they’d keep insisting on the many Easter eggs they put in X2 and remake/rebirth.

I wish they’d do more with the connection instead of intentionally leaving it in a limbo state.

But Yunalesda was never sent. After beating her she just vanish.

Auron didn't want to enter the Farplane cause if he did enter he be stuck there.

Yunalesca would be powerless in the Farplane. The only way for Yunalesca to even be Jenova in FF7 if she somehow was able to channel the Farplane without entering.

It would be possible if Machina would be used to draw the power which in FFX-2 did mention. From there Yunalesca can draw enough power for herself.

And just like Tidus a dream, that can become real. Yunalesca with enough souls can harness it and produce offsprings.
