What started as a calm Summer morning on the river turned into the most incredible six hours of musky fishing I've ever experienced. I was fishing a cool-water creek/inlet when I got an absolutely explosive topwater strike to start the day. And then, almost immediately, things went from incredible to disastrous when I dropped my $1,200 camera into the water. 😭 Somehow, that wasn't even close to the end of the story. Over the next six hours, I would go on to catch 7 muskies totaling more than 317 inches of fish. And these weren't small fish. Every single musky was a legitimate monster, with multiple fish in the mid-40-inch range and several fish pushing or exceeding 50 inches. And then came fish number seven. The fish I've been chasing for years. My first-ever 50-inch muskie. At 50¾ inches, it was not only the biggest muskie I've ever caught, but the culmination of thousands of hours spent casting, chasing, and learning these incredible fish. I also came within 1¾ inches of a personal 100-inch day — two muskies totaling at least 100 inches — after putting together an absolutely ridiculous stretch of fish. There were so many firsts packed into this day that it's honestly hard to believe it all happened in one six-hour period. 7 muskies. 317+ total inches. A 50¾-inch giant. A near-100-inch day. Helping an angler catch his first musky ever at 49.5" And one very unfortunate $1,200 camera. 😂 And the craziest part? Every fish was a MONSTER. This is without question the most epic day of musky fishing I've ever had, and quite honestly, it may be a day I'll never experience again for the rest of my life. No scoping. Just casting, moving, figuring out the fish, and trying to make the most of an unbelievable day on the water. I've filmed a lot of musky fishing over the years, but this one is different. I truly believe this is one of the most incredible musky fishing videos on YouTube. If you enjoy musky fishing, big fish, topwater strikes, casting for giants, and watching an absolutely unbelievable day unfold from start to finish, you don't want to miss this one.
