Most Sega consoles are actually well-made. You only mentioned the Game Gear as the one that never works, and that's because that's the case. In that product they unknowingly used badly formulated capacitors that only lasted less than 20 years, rather than more than 40.<br><br>I had to get my 1992 and 1993 Game Gears recapped, yet my 1984 SC-3000, 1986 Master System 1, 1990 Mega Drive 1 and 1993 Mega Drive 2s and Mega CD 2 (and 1994 32X, 1995 Nomad, 1996 Saturn and 1999 Dreamcast) all still work fine with their original capacitors in 2022.

Yeah, our Super Nintendo & N64 still work while our first GameCube didn't quite last. Maybe Nintendo actually was onto something with their cartridge idea
