I remember my family debating which one to get in 1993. My brother wanted a Super Nintendo. I wanted a Genesis. My brother won out and we got a Super Nintendo. I really just wanted the Genesis for Sonic. But I loved our Super Nintendo. Games like Mario World, Super Metroid, Star Fox, and Donkey Kong Country were some of my favorites.

Wish you spoke to those group of people that thought, why did it have to be one over the other and just got both eventually. Got to enjoy both worlds.

Both amazing consoles but I preferred the Genesis.

While people who loved the Genesis loved Sonic (I do no doubt), I was more for Streets of Rage, Phantasy Star and Kid Chameleon
