  Someone who has watched 1999 world cup will agree that this was the best world cup. Some of the reasons -<br>1. The cricket outfits were evolving and were right on top in 1999 wc. Amazing jerseys!<br>2. The wc as scheduled in June- July. As an indian, summer holidays and cricket starting at 03:00 PM, what else you can ask for.<br>3. This world cup was a true contest between bat and ball. Batting used to be an art during those days. You need skills to bat in seaming conditions and against top class bowlers. <br>4. The world saw Shoaib Akhtar in full flow in 1999 wc. The FASTER bowler and in full flow in England swinging conditions. <br>5. Epic semifinal between Australis and SA that brought tears to almost everyone eyes. <br>6. Lance Klusenser showed the world what is the meaning of All Rounder. <br>7. Almost every team was strong. Even Zimbabwe beated India and South africa. <br><br>Instead of watching live matches today, i prefer was this cricket gold. Thanks for uploading videos!

  My first favorite player was Lance Klusener. One of the greatest all-rounder of all time.

  2 giants of 1999 World Cup…….<br>What a WC that was……<br>No one can forget Lance Klusener, there was no clue for klusener in this WC……what a great all rounder; no one can reach Lance Klusener….what a great player he was….

  3 teams which were frighteningly close to winning this world cup, SouthAfrica, Pakistan and Australia. All three beat each other across in the world cup. Pak had the best bowling line up. South Africa had Klusener. But Aus had that Gibbs&apos;s iconic dropped catch of Steve Waugh. That dropped catch by an exceptional fielder, Gibbs set the stage to make Australia an invincible team for the next decade
