  nicely handled. Calm RT... i think in this situation you know the approx speeds you'll get at a given power setting so just set that and forget about it until final.  plenty of runway at gloucester to get it down even if a bit fast...

  Some fine skills on show with the handling of the emergency. &nbsp;A couple of observations. A solo cross country at 10 hours would lead me believe he has previous flight experience such as gliders. &nbsp;I would suggest it&apos;s not a mayday particularly given the overall airmanship on display but if a pilot feels it&apos;s a mayday that&apos;s their prerogative as it&apos;s their life at risk. &nbsp;Likewise the R/T was very good for such a low number of hours.<br><br>What really upset me though was vaping. &nbsp;Whilst rare, a thermal runaway would be horrendous in the cockpit of any aircraft. Rare I admit but there are some things I personally feel are incompatible with aviation.<br><br>Otherwise, great job

  Funny thinking from the ground... suction &amp; carb heat have nowt to do with airspeed. I presume you tried pitot heat? &nbsp;I agree with the straight in approach as that removes the risk of getting close to a stall in the turn. Good job overall!!

  Great video. &nbsp;Well handled especially at such low hours. &nbsp;I&apos;m 30 hours in and I&apos;m not solo nav yet. &nbsp;I was getting nervous watching that airspeed drop on final. &nbsp; I&apos;m guessing with the chaps face at the end there was something in the pitot tube?
