What happened was Jimbo lost the locker room. Freshman from that class were making WAY more than the kids that were actually starters and leaders of the team that beat Bama and it caused a HUGE rift in that locker room and he lost the team.

Getting kicked off of Texas A&M’s football team because you can’t meet academic standards is wild 😂😂😂😂. It’s Texas A&M FFS.

This just shows how a young football player needs to go to a college program that has the right leadership because these players are just transferring left and right just because they couldn’t get onto the field or stay out of trouble

A&M would start several freshmen and sophomores on the OL and DL. They were not ready collectively.

To quote Herb Brooks from the movie "Miracle", "I'm not looking for the best players. I'm looking for the right ones."

Indiana was a good example. They had a couple very good portal classes. But they weren't all the "best" or most expensive. They fit a blueprint. Older, proven production at the college level, even if it was at the lower levels. They also fit Indiana's schemes and culture.
