  I'm in this film! I play one of the panicking people in the underground car park scene  as well as one of the zombies later on!

  Just chiming in on the whole Don abandoning his wife situation, and I have to say it was probably the most realistic thing I've ever seen in a horror movie. Movies normally present idealized versions of people and it's easy to call him out for being a coward and believing that you'd have stepped up to the plate yourself, but I guarantee that at least 90% of the people reading this would cut and run if ever thrust into such a crazy situation. It's just being human.

  I will never understand people blaming Don for leaving his wife. She ran from him to save a random child, his choices were die with them or stay alive for his children that would be orphaned without him.

  The intro to this movie is a masterpiece! I still get chills every single time even though I've watched it so many times. Underated movie, tbh

  its called survival instinct. Self preservation. In that situation  - if we are honest here - he had no chance to fight off the 10+ zombies. watch the part again, they had a chance to run but SHE ruined it.

  Don gets too much heat for leaving his wife. She refused to help herself, and it would have only resulted in him dying, too. He’d already fought off zombies long enough, and he had their kids to think about rather than some random child that was near catatonic. I’d have left, too. 🤷🏻 The only issue I have is him breaking quarantine and getting himself infected by kissing her.

  I think the reason why the Dad seemed to act differently is because he was infected by the mother who had some kind immunity. Some of her antibodies or something transferred to him. Anyone infected from her would be like that and maybe anyone infected by him would too. That would actually be more dangerous, all the rage, but with enough control to plan and reason.<br><br>I think he went after her eyes because for weeks he had thought of her watching him, judging him, as he ran for his life.

  The beginning of this film is all about survival. That guy had to leave his wife behind in order to survive and get back to his two children.

  Also...I never considered that maybe the Dad was more &quot;evolved&quot; as an infected because of WHO infected him. &nbsp;Maybe her immunity allowed him to maintain more of a human sense of awareness?? &nbsp;Idk, but love that it was brought up 😁
