The concept of ignoring the sick and infecting the healthy is probably one of the best ones out there

Without even realizing it, he caught on to the fact that the purpose was simply to spread the virus and not consume their victims like traditional zombies. Bravo

Max Brooks (the creator of the book) had a great quote, about this movie.

"I love it, cause it's nothing like my book."

This is why you never judge a book by its cover. I had so many people telling me that this movie was absolutely awful. Not only did I enjoy this movie but I think it was actually very realistic and had great cinematography and sound. This is why I'm so thankful for stumbling on your guys' channel a while ago cause you guys taught me a better way to enjoy movies even when others don't enjoy it. I appreciate you guys, love ya and can't wait till the next one ❤
Edit: Damn, did not expect this many replies 😂 guys, I never read the book and don't plan to. I just wanted to watch this movie and thought as a standalone, it was a great movie. Let's not fight here, that's not what the channels for guys. Keep the peace

 fun story:

i saw it in theaters opening night here in mexico (i love zombie movies 😆)
and when the montage at the end came up, there's an audio that says: "mexico is considered a total loss", everyone booed the movie in unison and laughed out loud saying stuff like: YOU WISH!!!, AIN'T NO WAY!!!, WE'D BE THE FIRST TO KILL A ZEKE WITH A CHANCLA 😆 😆

it turned the movie into a full blown comedy during the credits 😆

also everyone lost it at the pepsi advertisement 😆

The scene that really pissed me off in this movie is when his wife called him when she knew he's in active duty. I was like "WAIT FOR HIM TO CALL!". I get she's worried but she didn't think she might have put him in danger by randomly calling him? Not only did she not have anything to contribute, she also got people needlessly killed while in the comfort of the ship.

Tbh, my favourite part in any disaster/zombie/apocalypse movie is at the start when characters are starting to notice something is amiss, and this movie absolutely nails that. The traffic jam and everyone just seeing hints here and there that something is going terribly wrong is chilling.

I still think this movie has one of the greatest openings of all time.
I captured the atmosphere so well. Start from the simple confusion and worry to sheer panic and chaos, pretty accurate on how it would be irl.
