  I am in process of moving to another state . I have massive amounts of crafting items, and it’s a real burden to pack this and pay someone to move it. We had collected a large number of plastic bins to pack things in, and I got a lot done until my son suggested that we pack soft items, like fabric and quilting supplies in large garbage bags as they take a lot less space . I also use fabric items, clothing, towels, fabric for wrapping fragile items. It’s been a difficult learning lesson that I have more crafting items than I have energy to deal with!

  I don&apos;t use a colour system because my son and 10% of men (movers) are colour blind. My system is a letter for each room, then numbered boxes. Same idea, just no colour confusion.

  Why wouldn&apos;t you just label the box with the word kitchen instead of a color that everyone has to learn and remember

  I have a question for you, please. How do you suggest handling your stuff when your home&apos;s interior is being painted? I&apos;m about to have my living room and kitchen painted and am dreading pulling every single thing out of all the cabinets, but thought that getting boxes and packing as if I were moving might be the answer. What is your opinion or what would you do?

  So when you concentrate on packing each room separately, you have, say, books or knick-knacks and pictures in that room. Doesn&apos;t it make it difficult to locate it once you get where you&apos;re going? &quot; Where did I pack that book that belongs with this set? &quot; &lt;&lt;that you&apos;re putting in the new den.&gt;&gt;. It could be in any one of the packed rooms. What would be the best way to handle those types of situations?
