As a person from Louisiana born and raised, YALL GUMBO IS NOT GUMBO!!! love yall channel but if your going to do louisiana like this, yall need to have a person FROM louisiana do this! gumbo is more of a soup, not a stew! and to do everything properly! i would love to come cook everything for yall the right way!

Mostly it’s people of color who created these dishes, but to have only white male representation fixing the dishes it’s just culturally disrespectful

them not mixing the rice with the gumbo is making me cry, also that's creole gumbo, you have to try both creole and Cajun to get the difference in culture.

Reh-moo-lod, muh-fuh-lot-tuh. And blue crabs in the gumbo. And the baby also means you buy the next king cake. And you don't eat king cake out of season. Who researched this?

I can tell from the thumbnail that these are Louisiana in name only. Lol. What is that king cake?

Edit: Okay, that wasn't entirely fair. This is all very New Orleans, but as I'm sure plenty of people have already pointed out, a lot of New Orleans food is made to appeal to tourists. It's not necessarily "REAL" Louisiana food. Take that comment how you will, but I stand by it.

It'd be like going to Fisherman's Wharf, getting clam chowder in a sourdough bread bowl from a tourist spot, and then deciding that's what "real California food" is.

If you’re going to get inspiration on Louisiana dishes, try Cajun Ninja, he also sells seasonings and spices. Pat nDa Pot is another good one as well. & Stale Cracker has a partnership with Off The Hook right now. These are all true Louisiana spices
