I’m Brazilian, and I’ve been living in Florida for about a year now. In my daily life, I’ve had the opportunity to practice, develop, and improve my English more and more every day.

Sometimes I put a lot of pressure on myself when I can’t understand something or express myself the way I want to. But whenever I watch your videos, it’s like they remind me that I need to be patient with myself, be grateful that I’m already living this process of learning a new language, and most importantly, NEVER GIVE UP.

Thank you for your content and for the way you share it. It truly makes a difference. ❤️🇺🇸🇧🇷

Very true! I’m learning Hungarian right now and I write the date how it is written in Hungarian and I actually write out the number! i just simply list what I ate for breakfast, lunch and dinner but now I’m going to start writing down things I do and feel! 😊

writing five sentences before bed by hand is such a small ask compared to sitting down for a whole study session. going to try this with italian tonight and see if it survives past week one.

Thank you Cat for sharing this video. I’ve learnt French to upper intermediate level over a few years and am now trying to do the same with Brazilian Portuguese. However, it’s very tempting to become disheartened when you find it difficult to break through to that next level. The tips and suggestions that you offer in this video could well be an absolute game-changer for me as they encourage me to express my own thoughts and feelings in the target language, and therefore hopefully become more fluent. Thank you sooo much!

It is true, you need to practice the output, either by speaking or writing, I have been working in sales, and I wrote a lot of emails in English, but it is not the same as speaking (although writing helps with speaking to some extent), so then I started streaming on youtube, and commenting the game while I play, that helped me with speaking significantly. Great vid. Subscribed!
