Blood of Dawnwalker is without a doubt my game of the year, story is cool, they made vampires interesting again, and combat is really fun once you get the hang of it too

Most of the flaws feel very explicitly tied to limited scope and budget. Which is fine, I actually appreciate they delivered on what they wanted to focus on. Next game can add more given the success of this one

As someone who was really excited for Dawnwalker I'm glad to see the game was a massive success both critically and commercially. I'm also thrilled that the studio head said he doesn't want the sequel to take years and years to complete and hopes to have it done within 2-3 years. Bring back the era of gaming where we get entire trilogies in a single generation!

I just got done with the mission with the mad scientist and his tower… all I’ll say is that the writing in this game is insane! I was shocked how good that mission was.

I think it's important to note that KCD2 has incredibly little enemy variety - but the system and the whole package is delivered so well that no one cares about that.

The overall 30 day time limit made sense for this game because there was a specific story event causing a deadline. To have the same thing in the sequel they'd have to manufacture a reason. Now if they did it on a smaller scale where doing certain quests meant that other quests would pass you by then that's fine.

Been awhile since I’ve played a game that gets me glued the way this does. Crimson desert is great but it didn’t hit me the way dawnwalker does man… I can’t believe this is a AA game, we need that sequel man fr. Let’s get a Transylvania or Prague setting, damn that’ll be good.

Any budget over $100 million should be exceptionally rare. Back in the PS3 era AAA games like Uncharted 2 cost 20 million. Now 40 million is considered AA, that's absurd. Makes one start to think that these 300-400 budgets are just money laundering schemes.

The absolute best games come from lean teams with solid vision and direction. Once you start putting tons of management levels or corporate bloat in there the product suffers
