I love how Asgore is written here. How he tries to be as nice as possible, even making jokes in an attempt to calm down the "monster". Him thinking that the amalgam is a falling down monster wishing to see the barrier is just so... fitting. Him jumping in front of the amalgam to block Toriel's attack is also very in character of him.

It also makes the ending so poetic, since when Asgore returns to see that the amalgam is gone, he'll just think that the "monster" passed away in peace, unaware of what actually happened.

Flowey still keeping up the "I'll give you a happy ending" act while clearly being pissed off is great, too.

After getting to the surface, frisk and the amalgamates went on to purchase a comically large “this is our get along shirt” shirt.

the transition from the fucked up refusing in progress scene to Frisk stuck in the amalgamate still doing the -_- is such a Toby way to do things

I love how Mettaton doesn't come either because it was probably Alphys who told him to come.

I like to imagine Snowdrake’s mother is trying to go back to Snowdin, but can’t consider the like 11 other people trying to do the opposite.

honestly I like how it starts out as horror and then it slowly turns into like, the amalgamates having frisk in a trench coat trying to smuggle them past the border

I like how the amalgamation could have just dipped at any point but stayed just so they could hear the gossip

i was halfway expecting the mass of amalgams to just absorb asgore, or at the very least, like, shoot frisk out like some human cannon ball or missle
