I love the palaeontlogy that was sneaked in here! As an archaeologist, you often get asked if you dig up dinosaurs and you always have to say no, so I loved seeing this!

32:52 Love Onyeka Nubia's comment that "we speak about (British) history with a series of sentences and fullstops. But it is not like that. It is a series of commas, half-sentences and question marks."

History, despite all the exact dates, is linear. Time periods overlap so (to use the period they're talking about), just because the Roman garrisons leave Britain, their culture, their tools and techniques will still be there until gradually supplanted by the Anglo-Saxons.

I say, what an absolutely fascinating, interesting and utterly worthwhile episode to have been uploaded - and which I don`t believe I have seen before :)
There are so many superlatives I could attach to this ongoing series, which continues to develop and educate, across such a varied and wide ranging understanding and appreciation of our ancient past in all it`s complexity, with unexpected discoveries which often challenge previously held opinions and academic certainties.
Prof. Roberts continuous to be the perfect foil to introduce and connect the historic elements for a hugely intellectually satisfying and memorable series :)

Just one comment from me. I’ve watched a number of these vids with Prof. Roberts now, and kudos to the director. Well staged story telling. Kudos to Prof Roberts and her fellow Ph.D.s to teach us the history. I truly appreciate the science and engineering. While I’m a “Yank”, Britain’s history is my history as well.

Amazing finds, amazing video! And Thanks to honest people that saw something and reported it to the proper authorities. I shudder to think what is found and not reported because the builders, or construction people want to get the job done fast.
