  went to boracay in the 1980s from manila by pig ferry. &nbsp;stepped of the ferry onto a bamboo raft..stayed on the beach in a hut..$3 a night. shared 2 lobsters for $6...saw thousands of fruit bats flyihng foxes ...fond memory from my 20s.

  Thanks for the candid observation and honest comments about Boracay. I&apos;ve been to Boracay about 10 times spread over the last 11 years or so staying in different accommodations but you&apos;re right the place is so predictable. But I enjoyed it and I don&apos;t mind coming back sometime next year. Good luck and enjoy the rest of your stay.

  I consider boracay not that expensive because of so many options from accommodation, food and etc... you just need to be resourceful. For the first timers it will be expensive but on the next visit you&apos;ll know what to do to lower your expenses. And for others, you&apos;ve said it&apos;s all true... all in all, it&apos;s the boracay vibes, so you have to find ways to deal with it to enjoy your vacation... Visit Siargao and Palawan (Coron and El Nido) to see the difference. it&apos;s &nbsp;more expensive, though. Just do your research to save money on your trips to those places...

  Boracay will always be a good place to enjoy the clean beach… Coron &amp; El Nido would be also good to visit.

  The native interior makes this hotel even more attractive ..authentic Filipino...❤❤❤street vendor is annoying if it&apos;s like 50 of them &nbsp;approaching
