Gotta say even for it being@ around about 40-41 years ago, this series is much more entertaining than anything ive sene in todays basketball with no defense and just 3 point shootouts, when everyone is playing the exact same ways its boring and lackluster.

Bill Walton was rooting for the Lakers yet would join the Celtics two years later.

All commercials are obviously manipulative and have to be, but these old commercials have soul compared to today

Interesting, and a little bit odd, that you only see 3 championship banners hanging at The Forum at this point in time. The Laker franchise really had 8 championships at this time in history…, 5 in Minneapolis, and 3 in Los Angeles. But it’s interesting, and odd, how the Lakers never (really) recognized the Minneapolis championships (at least with banners) until after moving to Staples Center. After a year or two at Staples, they finally acknowledged them by putting one single banner up with all 5 Minneapolis championships on it. They have since, and finally, put an individual banner up for each Laker franchise (Minneapolis & LA) championship

I hate to say this because I am a James Worthy fan. That was kind of a chicken sh@#$%^&*(t foul on Cedric Maxwell. It was from behind and he did not make an effort to catch Max.
