  After 4 months of hard work, I am delighted to share this completed project with you all! <br><br>I traveled to Orkney for just under a week in June to complete the on-site filming for this, and I must say, some of the places that I visited were truly breathtaking!<br>Orkney is a magical place, It indeed deserves to be called the Neolithic capital of Britain, as there are dozens of remarkably well-preserved sites scattered across the islands that are easily accessible to visitors. <br>If you are a lover of archaeology, I believe Orkney is one of the best places in Britain to visit, and you certainly won&apos;t be disappointed! <br>I&apos;ve included a list of the locations featured in this video down in the description for anyone considering a trip.<br><br>These videos take a considerably long time to make.   My family are all Orcadians. My great grandfather helped dig up Scara Brae by hand. I played in it as a child.

  The narrator said that the people that lived in Skara Brae were completely forgotten. &nbsp;However, since legends say that the Faeries lived beneath the hills, and these ruins appear to be hills that people lived in, it makes me wonder if they weren&apos;t forgotten, they simply became a mythical memory.

  My mother was a botanical &nbsp;archaeologist involved in the midden excavation of Skara Brae in 1973. They found fossolized puff ball mushrooms that may have been fashioned into absorbent, haemostatic dressings. These possibly had incidental antimicrobial effects too. &nbsp;<br>Neolithic people had an immense understanding of their environment.

  Need more videos like this to drown out the AI slop. Thank you for your research on this fascinating topic! &nbsp;England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales are all blessed with some really lovely archaeology. I can see why Phil Harding from Time Team always gets most excited for the Neolithic stuff now!

  Watching from Ireland ... Orkney is continuing to give up its incrdible secrets! The idea that Neolithic culture moved from Orkney down to the south is gaining traction ... I am intrigued by all of this .. how, when, who?!
