  Reznov is a tragic anti-hero if anything. Not a villain. Being stuck in that prison for as long as he was, he saw an opportunity that not many of us would have passed up if we understood the implications of it.

  I can only think why Reznov would be even considered a villain, despite being our literal imaginative friend in Black Ops 1 post-Vorkuta and our closest friend in WaW, is when it’s revealed that he basically sabotaged Dragovich’s brainwashing attempts to forward his vengeance onto Mason, like Cyberpunk 2077 Relic engram copy-paste to an extent, like he uses you in that exact moment of vulnerability, but in more ways than one, stopping Dragovich, Kravchenko and Steiner would also be personal for Mason coz of his time in Vorkuta where they attempted their own version of MK Ultra and imprinting number sequences into Mason’s head, while also being the best interest of the US government to assassinate Dragovich and Kravchenko while recovering Steiner to stop the release of Nova-6, but Reznov wanted him capped as well since he was a 3rd Reich scientist that developed Nova-6 that got Dimitri and a few other of Reznov’s comrades killed when Steiner collaborated with Dragovich and Kravchenko at the literal end of WW2, after the 30th of April 1945, on a sorta classified mission for personal gains. <br><br>Apart from that specific villainous revenge sub-plot, I highly doubt Reznov would be that much of a CoD villain. He used us for his own gains and we trusted him, yes, but he got us out of Vorkuta at the cost of his own life at the tail-end of the escape, so I doubt he’d be that much of a villain. <br><br>It’s possible that I may be forgetting a few pointers and some details are probs wrong, but this is what I remember off the back of my head, so forgive me on that front, thank you.

  I think Rorke is one of the most ruthless but best written villain in the COD franchise. Sad they never made a sequel for Ghost.😢
