  I think it’s worth pointing out just how willing the original MW trilogy was to kill off main cast members. Shows that victory cannot be achieved without sacrifice

  This is a hot take but I genuinely think if Shepherd hadn’t betrayed the main cast he could have gone down as a beloved anti-hero, an old general trying to avenge his own fallen soldiers through any means necessary.

  I think he is the most hated villain, simply because he betrayed us, unlike with the other villains, we knew what what we were going up against when facing them.

  Further context for the Gulag: even before TF141 lands, Soap cries out about the American fire being too close. Ghosts thought that they were the good guys.

  It&apos;s simple he literally states why in the beginning of Modern Warfare 2, he lost 30,000 men in a blink of an eye and the world just watched. He personally wanted revenge for the U.S and did whatever it cost to make sure he was labeled as the hero.

  I was thinking about this yesterday and I realized the whole reason Shepherd killed Roach and Ghost is because they retrieved Makarov’s intel. Intel that proved shepherd is the one who tipped off makarov as to the identity of Private Allen. Shepherd planted Allen to be killed so he could get his revenge for the nuclear event. The intel recovered at the safe house proved it that’s why Shepherd said “Good that’s one less LOOSE END.” On the radio you can also hear someone said ‘site has been sanitized’ which means it’s been cleaned of all intel.
