  I mistakenly referred to hiragana as kanji. Just to be clear we are going from phonetic sounds to Hiragana, not kanji :)

  ANATATACHI (you, plural) no (possessive) SHINHOU (death/cause of death) MINNANI (viewing/facing) ha (article, wa) HOSHINTAN (protect yourself). So basically, if you face death, buy a shield. (This is based on a couple years of HS Japanese in the 90s, so...)

  First sign reads literally as: あなたたけのしようほう、みんなにはないしよたよ… <br>(Anata take no siyouhou, minna ni ha naisiyo tayo)<br><br>Hylian text doesn’t clearly indicate voiced consonants or sokuon (written indicator to alter consonant/vowel combinations). With those being corrected for, it becomes: <br>あなただけのじょうほう、みんなにはないしょだよ (漢字付き：あなただけの情報、みんなには内緒だよ）<br>(Anata dake no zyouhou, minna ni ha naisyo da yo)— meaning, roughly, “(This) information (is) just for you, it’s a secret to everyone!”<br><br><a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8BtXCNdalJs&amp;t=507">8:27</a> Shop sign on the left reads as: ようこそ (youkoso), “welcome!”<br><br><a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8BtXCNdalJs&amp;t=607">10:07</a> This one is ひろは(hiroha)… adjusting for voicing, I’m guessing it’s 広場 (hiroba), meaning a public square/plaza/etc.<br><br><a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8BtXCNdalJs&amp;t=673">11:13</a> Bombchuu shop reads as ほうり(houri), but it seems to be cut off. The original reads as exactly that.

  I tried transcribing the text on the sign and gave it to Google translate.<br><br><br><br>It basically translated it as &quot;It&apos;s a secret to everybody.&quot; :P<br>I&apos;m not joking, the exact phrasing it gave was &quot;This method is just for you—keep it a secret from everyone else, okay?&quot;

  @1010 ひ ろ は/ば (hi ro ha/ba) gives the Kanji 広場 which means public square

It&apos;s a secret to everybody!&quot;<br>(2nd sentence is a reference to secret rooms in Zelda 1, where Moblins gift you rupees.)<br><br>NOTE: It&apos;s actually literally spelt as: &quot;Anata TAke no shiyouhou. Minna ni HA naiSHIYO TA yo.&quot;<br>--&gt; The parts I&apos;ve capitalized here, are the differences that cannot be replicated from Japanese to Hylian Script in OoT, as Hylian Script has no characters to display them, so it takes the closest characters by Japanese hiragana/katakana.<br><br>TA represents DA, since in hiragana it is the same character without the little &quot;diacritics&quot; called dakuten .<br>(た represents だ)<br><br>SHIYO represents SHO, since in hiragana it is a &quot;lowercase&quot; YO to form SHO.<br>(しよ represents しょ)<br><br>Plus, the grammatical particle HA being WA is just normal Japanese - while it&apos;s pronounced WA and spelt like it, if romanized into English, the actual hiragana/katakana always spells it as HA.
