I'm not at all surprised that people throughout the world love and appreciate Canada and Canadians. I used to hike once a year in October (with a photographer friend from Ohio) on the Bruce Peninsula in Ontario. He used to laugh at me when I would talk to or greet everyone we met on the trail. I don't believe it's at all strange but he assured me when he hiked in the US he never exchanged greetings like I did and he found it somewhat odd. It's just fundamentally who I am and I believe that's true for many Canadians, we're inherently friendly souls!

As a Maritimer I was groomed to wave to foreign licence plates...the further away they travelled to us the bigger the wave. Those waves brought more waves as word of mouth spread.

🇨🇦 Im an old white lady . On my own I was going to return to Costco a large purchase. I knew I’d need help . Within 2 minutes a couple helped me put it into the car. Well, she and I directed him. They couldn’t speak English , I think Chinese . When I got to Costco now I needed to get it into the store. Another couple came to help, again they were East Indian , real sweet couple . 🇨🇦

I was born in Canada, as a child I had no idea how lucky I was. I’m now 67 and as I have learned and travelled the world I thank God every day that I had the great fortune to have been born in this beautiful home called Canada.
