Awareness is torture in this world. Worse if you have high empathy and cannot tolerate injustice.

I remember once I had a deep convo with a random girl I never saw after and at the end I told her “Thank you for this conversation”. It was from the bottom of my heart because I felt normal for once

High intelligence often comes with a 'curse of awareness' that makes simple happiness feel out of reach. But as we grow, that same intelligence becomes the tool we use to navigate the storm.

People with extremely high IQs often carry a quiet loneliness—seeing deeper, feeling more, yet rarely feeling truly understood

Being highly intelligent isn’t just about smarts; it comes with overthinking, intense emotions, and struggles most people don’t understand.

As a young man with autism, the intense feelings and empathy I get from extreme depth of thought is very palpable for me.

People with extremely high IQs don’t just process information faster — they think deeper, question more, and see patterns others completely miss. Truly fascinating!

I worked as a software developer and retired a few years ago. I was having a technical issue I was panicking about and my boss said “you’ll figure it out, you have a high IQ”.

My first full time job out of graduate school a manger i briefly worked for said to me “you’re the most intelligent person I ever met”.

My oldest friend told me several years ago that he didn’t understand why I was down on myself at the time given how talented and intelligent I was.

I had a few people comment on my abilities over the years and watching a few of these videos made me understand some of my lifelong behaviors.

I remember often noticing things that the person I was with didn’t and they didn’t understand why I was even mentioning it.

I’m able to talk to people of all backgrounds and don’t use my intellectual capacity as a weapon or look down on them if they’re not at my level. I never have.

Intelligent people don’t run around bragging how intelligent they are; it’s often a defense mechanism because they’re not.

Actually one of the best things my parents ever did for me was told me to embrace being different from most of the people around me

I recently visited with my nephew after not having seen him for a few years. He is an adult now. And much to my pleasant surprise it turns out that he is one of the smart ones. I can't tell you how good it felt to be talking to an truly intelligent person for a change. It was so nice to be able to talk about.... everything and anything for once. I was like, "Wow, he's like me!!" And i didn't feel so alone for a while. I am sooo happy that he isn't just another automaton! 😃😁

I’m just one minute in, and I’ve never felt so seen. I actually paused the video to do an IQ test just to see where I stand, and I’m in the 120+ range. I don’t care about intelligence much, but I’ve always felt alienated. My big brother is quite intelligent, and he used to say that people are dumb and so does my mom. We are all quite talented and smart but I noticed that all three of us are socially isolated. We are sociably smart and have friends but we can’t talk to most people. It’s tiring.

I’ve always found it hard to relate to people. I don’t like partying, drinking, fashion, money, cars, complaining, etc. I want to sit down with someone I love and talk about deep things. I always say I like to be intellectually stimulated. This makes me feel loved.

I don’t know, man, I just feel like I see the reality of the world painfully clearly and people around me can’t wait to get wasted. I feel alone.

My parents would report to me after conferences with teachers, "they say you're gifted but not living up to your ability." Became the theme of my life. Not complaining, learned to hide intelligence, keep to myself and not let other peoples' expectations affect me.
