Fam,
I live in the mountains of Virginia. 34acres of some pretty hostile woods.
We deal with the bugs a well. I use a pump sprayer with peppermint oil and a few drops of soap (not Dawn detergent)
Spray it around your home and in the bushes around your living area. We have a cat a well and she doesn't like it, but it doesn't hurt her.
Also,
The more brush and wood you have around, the more bugs and rodents you'll have. Fire is your friend.
Be safe, Loving the new content.

It's admirable that two people who didn't let society decide what success meant to them, cross paths with each other. So many people are so hard wired to only see success through the lens of dollars and cents that it's an extremely rare occasion to see someone who doesn't see things that way atoll. For two people to not accept that societal point of view to actually cross paths, is even more rare indeed. I'm in my sixties now and I can sum up the vast majority of people I've met as being shallow as a frogs pond and fake as a three dollar bill. I have no idea who your inner circle is, but I can guarantee you there are some who are only pretending to wish you well, but in reality, they're hoping that you fail. As long as you keep serenity and peace of mind as your driving force, it won't matter what the naysayers and haters think. You only care about a persons thoughts so much as you regard that person as having the ability to even think anyway. Please keep moving on your journey with your family and disregard the naysayers. Best regards!!!

Everything you all said at the end is so beautiful, well-said, and 1000% true! We’ve been so severely lied to about what life is actually supposed to be.

This is my first time on the channel and this video brought me so much joy. Seeing the way you two are building a wonderful nature based home and raising your kids in such a beautiful environment and being loving parents is sensational to see. Thank you for sharing this with all of us
