  This is why I'm making sure my son read the entire Bible before he becomes an adult and leaves our house. God says His people perish for a lack of knowledge and I think basic Scriptural literacy is one of the best weapons against the lies from cults.

  One of the things they will never openly publicly preach is that if you don’t believe in their leader, you’re going straight to hell, and if you are someone who renounced your faith in the leader, your pain and suffering will be 2 times worse than those who never believed or never heard of naason.

  I have an aunt who is part of the cult. We have been trying to get her to see the truth for years but she is so mind controlled, it’s sad !

  Man yall really need to look into I.E.C.E. Church (Iglesia Evangelical Christiana Espiritual) based out of Monte Rey Mexico. It is in their official history that LLDM came directly out of their institution. That at some point the congregation that was being pastored by the LLDM founder, at the time a minister for IECE, were excommunicated both leader and the congregants that followed him for teaching what IECE deemed as heresy. And from there he started his own cult. The IECE was founded by a man named Joseph Stewart from Ireland who brought a oneness/holiness doctrine to Mexico in late 1800 to early 1900.

  Thank you, I've been waiting for you to cover this one! I live in Costa Rica across from a Luz del Mundo prayer house, where every morning at 5am people are at, singing and weeping.

  La Luz del Mundo reminds me of Iglesia ni Christo out of the Philippines. The holiness standards paired with authoritarian leadership, aberrant theology and deep corruption.

  I saw your post about this last night and then googled it. Then I started watching that HBO documentary that you mentioned and then deep dived the foundation of the cult online….. this is a really whacky one for sure. Considering how beautiful and grandiose the main temple is in Guadalajara, and how their leader went to prison for SA against children, I’m amazed that I didn’t know about this cult yet
