That thing that pennywise does with his eyes that's actually Bill Skarsgärd doing it on his own. He's really shifting one eye to look at the audience.

The contrast of Tim Curry being verbally threatening and Bill Skårsgard being physically threatening is a good reason to watch both versions.

Bill Skårsgard nailed it as Pennywise. That voice, the drool, the eye drift, etc. pure nightmare fuel. He made Pennywise feel inhuman. Legendary performance.

Pennywise is infecting the whole town. That's why everyone is so mean to the main group of kids.

Fun fact, this movie came out 27 years after the mini series in the 90's.

My favorite Behind the scenes moment is when Bill basically riled up the kids for the final fight by saying "Alright Folks! Who's ready to beat shit outta me?!"

I like this IT because it was different enough that it didn't feel like a remake. It's the same story, but it looks and feels different.

The way Bill Skarsgärd can shift his eyes is so disturbing 😳

If I had a nickel for every reactor that misses the librarian being creepy in the background I’d be rich

The movies don’t make this super clear, but a lot of the Losers’ victories happen because of the power of belief. Pennywise is this eldritch, all powerful creature, but they can defeat him because they believe they can. Ben kissing Bev wakes her up not because it’s some magic curse, but because he believes it will wake her up. The bolt gun isn’t loaded when Bill shoots Pennywise, but Bill believes it’s loaded, so it hurts him. In the book, Pennywise becomes a werewolf, and silver bullets work hurt him because they believe silver bullets should hurt him.

And, no spoilers, but that’s one of the reasons why it’s so much more difficult for the Losers to defeat Pennywise as adults. They’ve lost the power of that childish belief now that they’re adults.

Bill had a story of before his scenes with the child actors, he was concerned he would freak them out. Then on the first scene with one of them, the kid was all shaking and screaming and Bill was feeling bad, thinking he was traumatizing this child. When the director called "Cut!", the boy was like, "I love what your doing with the character! I love it."
LOL
