  Thanks so much for posting this slice of midwestern rail history. CNW’s Omaha route passes through my area. I miss seeing the variety of power and consists of the 1980s.

  I miss seeing SD40-2’s on the line between Saint Paul and Eau Claire. <br>Fall of 2018 at the Osgood crossing south of Stillwater I called the UP emergency number on a broken flange in the middle of an eastbound train. It’s either Siegel or Seigel crossing. The crossing was rebuilt in the summer of 2025 with the addition of an integrated traffic light.

  My relatives always said that the CNW was the Omaha road from up in Ashland and Bayfield &nbsp;WI. There are no more tracks up in Bayfield or Ashland that belong to the CNW. There also is no more tracks of the Northern Pacific from Superior to Ashland. The NP used to follow US RT 2. As I said on a previous video Sooline used to have a major Terminal there.CNW used to have passenger trains going to the twin cities and Green Bay. I think I took 1 of the last Flambeau 400&apos;s from Ashland to Green Bay in the summer of 1969.

  I don’t recognize the crossing at :58, but at <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7bcSLWPrALI&amp;t=95">1:35</a> it crosses Stagecoach Trail just west of Bayport and south of Stillwater. The smokestack for the King Power plant can be seen. The coal powered King Power plant in Bayport is only ran on standby and is scheduled to be shut down around 2028 or 2029. <br>I’ve lived in Stillwater Mn since 1995 and remember still seeing lots of C&amp;NW engines through my first year here. I think that the UP purchase was August or September 1995?
