  Hey Riley, as you already know, you are truly Professional in presenting a service video! So, I have a 2019 Suzuki df175a. I've owned it since spring of 2023. Externally she appears VERY Clean, as in showroom new. I am a "bk yard Mechanic". I shut her down for the 2025 season,(october). I had 36 gallons of treated fuel in a 96 gal tank. All was great last time she was on the water. Didn't open her up until 10 months later. Took her out, and after slow go for 20 min, she went into LIMP MODE the moment I brought her to 3000 rpm. Been stuck there since. I serviced the ENTIRE water system, fuel system. Also, chkd ALL fuel and ZERO water in fuel, everywhere! Bought a Suzuki OBDSTAR scanner and it shows NO issues, no codes. Took apart the Vapor tank, an VERY CLEAN. I filled my 96 gal tank, along with Marine Stabil, Lucas Fuel injection cleaner. Ran engine for 30 min, at 1000- 1500 rpm. All seemed ok. Went out to water, and still has same Limp mode issue where Suzuki won't go above 2,800- 3,000 rpm.  Has new H.P. Fuel filter, L.P. too, new T-stat, impeller, Engine oil, gear oil. WHAT AM I MISSING? Thx!!!

  Thank you for telling people NOT to tighted an oil filter with tools. I'm sick of having to destroy a filter cause some dip sh*t cranked it down.

  Insane folks would use a tool to tighten the filter. Also my dealer tech todk me to use a diaper below the filter to catch the oil. Works great!

  Some people never find what they are skilled at doing or what their talents are.  You obviously have great technical skills married to practical experience for the best results.   Also your teaching skills are detailed and well explained.   I have a 20 + year old 50hp 2 stroke on my deep v 16 foot aluminum boat ( still running! ) and am amazed at the technology built into it and all outboards.    Lots of unique differences  in each engine, hp and manufacture. You seem to have  a good body of knowledge of each. Impressive.   Thanks for your videos.  Max

  When fill oil in gearcase you should spin the prop a few laps and you'll get mor oil in

  thermostat bottom bolt always gives me a very hard time, wish there was a better way, i drop that bolt once already and took me 25 minutes just to find it - good video

  I have done the filter thing to my Honda Accord.  I was extremely fortunate it was a tiny pin hole and I discovered the leak before catastrophic failure/leak.  Its not hard at all to compromise the integrity of your oil filter with a tool.
