  I truly love her &quot;Ring Girl&quot; persona through the whole performance. Wonderful energy for this song. After hearing Voiceplay&apos;s mostly techno version of BHS, it&apos;s amazing to hear her innocence-to-harsh-and back attack on it. Wonderful reaction, as usual.

  in Hysteria shw was playing the lead bass line on guitar amazingly while singing ar same time, watch her fingers, she has amazing brain to be able to do this plus work crowd at same time, her nusic iq has to be so high. genious level, she learned this song in 1 month. AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  After her third performance —&quot;Black Hole Sun&quot;—*Guitar World* featured her again,<br>America’s Got Talent breakout star, guitarist and vocalist Nene Royal, stunned the judges at her audition round with her take on The Cranberries’ Zombie.<br><br>After yet another buzzy performance in the Judges Callbacks round, where she covered Muse’s Hysteria and sailed through to the quarterfinals, Royal delivered a searing rendition of Soundgarden’s 1994 hit Black Hole Sun – complete with a standout guitar solo.<br><br>Much like her previous performances, the 16-year-old from Phuket, Thailand, wielded her trusty Ibanez Musician Series MC300 for the occasion. Judging by the audience’s reaction, her take on Soundgarden proved that she’s one to watch in the competition and beyond.

  This is the very first channel I’ve noticed pointing out that final part where Nene solos on the guitar while singing, and as someone who has played music professionally for a long time, I have to say I couldn&apos;t do that.

  @JenniferGlatzhofer • Song Choice • In her interview, Nene said she chose Black Hole Sun about a month before the performance. It is not in her incredible YouTube catalogue because she had never performed this one before.<br><br>She said she wanted to challenge herself and captivate the audience with something different. She wanted to convey the meaning and emotion of the song to the audience using rage and a jazzy feel.<br><br>And Nene does the arrangements herself. That is how much of a virtuoso she is. It is not just the stunning vocals and guitar playing. It is her musical intelligence as well.<br><br>She took an incredible song, reworked it into an incredible tribute, but also made it completely her own, rehearsing eight to ten hours a day to bring that vision to life.<br><br>Vicky Cornell shared Nene’s performance, praised her incredible talent and said Chris would be proud.<br><br>That makes the whole performance even more moving.
