Good video. Whatever Model's men did was no worse than anything the Red Army did - including to themselves. Remember their scorched earth in 1941. And , the real story of the Hurtgen Forrest is not the battle <br>"ending " on 12/16. That's when the Battle of the Bulge began. The Allies didn't get through the Hurtgen Forrest until March of 1945 - six months after they went in.

Model aspired to Prussian nobility but, sadly, lacked the “von” to precede his last name. He tried to make up for it though, with his actions and mannerisms, right down to the monocle.

"War criminal" is merely code for the side that lost the war. Bufton, Portal, Yeager all technically committed war crimes worse that what we would consider for Model yet they were hailed as "heroes" instead, because their side won the war. Simple as. That's what's all about in the end.
