  Something I find interesting about early episodes of Black Mirror is the heavy focus on punishment as a societal obsession. Not actually fixing any problems or preventing crime, but relishing punishment.

  &quot;KIDS!!! THEY WERE KIDS KENNY!!&quot; The actress playing Kenny&apos;s mom is absolutely chilling. That earth shattering heartbreak in her delivery sounds exactly how my stepmom did when she had to tell me my dad had died unexpectedly just screaming &quot;DEAD!!! HE&apos;S DEAD&quot; over and over into the phone. It&apos;s a tone and level of overwhelming emotion you really have to experience first hand to understand it, and she clearly has. Incredible work

  I noticed that every time Kenny downplayed or discounted what he did, his crimes would get progressively worse. Its almost like the hackers made his actions impossible to downplay, he would have to say the entire story by saying how he even get into the situation in the first place.

  My best friend from school, when I showed her shut up and dance and she saw the scene with the little girl she immediately said omg is he a pedo and I’ve never been more annoyed yet impressed in my life.

  Kenny is a chilling example of how creeps can be hidden in plain sight, Kenny like so many seems “normal” and an outcast that we sympathize with but the episodes ending slaps us in the face with the truth of how humans really are, they might look normal act normal but we never really know what their going to do when they walk away, that final troll face was for the audience thinking Kenny was innocent telling us to never underestimate a book by its cover even a plain one.
