  I have been using box dyes for years, and I love it. It has been the easier way to maintain my color. I trust more in them than in some hair salons.

  After many salon mistakes I've lived by box dye. My worst salon experience was when the hairdresser went to lunch and forgot about me. She ruined my hair. Next time I tried a salon, my roots were a totally different color than the rest of my hair, like new penny color. These experiences were years apart. So now I color at home with great results.

  Before my wedding in 98 I wanted professional results and went to a highly reputable salon in my area, she ruined my hair. I had to cut it all off and had an odd pixi cut with red hair when I had asked for long layers with golden highlights. Not all professional stylists are educated properly. Now I watch Brad Mondo and do my own hair. My hair is long with a silver stryp in the front with the tips from Brad's YouTube I love my Gen X silver and golden brown hair. ❤

  I’ve used $3 Revlon Colorsilk on my hair for over ten years.  I’ve had women question my color and even ask for the exact link to the exact color I use.  I couldn’t be happier to have a product that works so well for me at this price tag. 👍🏼

  I&apos;ve been box-dying my hair for ... um ... since I was 16ish and I am now 71 :) &nbsp;I think I paid three times for hair to be colored and didn&apos;t like results, in fact last time, I had to f ind color remover (two different ones) and then dyed with Clairol or whatever is under $10 :) &nbsp;So far, so good ... But if I had a Brad Mondo out here on a sea island, you can bet your biscuits I would love to have professional hair treatment ... Thoroughly enjoyed this, learned a lot, and will be sure to look for ammonia on boxes going forward. &nbsp;As a PS, a year and a half ago, coming back from paralysis, I told my sister I needed to color my hair. &nbsp;She said &quot;You can NOT do that!&quot; &nbsp;I kind of yelled &quot;PLEASE stop telling me what I can&apos;t do!&quot; &nbsp;Colored my hair, was very difficult, but got it done!<br>And felt better for having handled that part of &apos;occupational therapy&quot;

  Salon.. I asked for a medium red (Julia Robert’s/Drew Barrymore) showed pics and was very clear. After the blow dry, it was purple black and that hair dresser argued with me saying it’s exactly what I want… I used her for years &amp; will never go back after that. She became lazy and complacent with my business. Never take advantage of your clients!

  Hey Brad! We NEED a follow-up vid on which ingredients and brands we should go for/steer away from!<br>I&apos;ve been a fan of yours since forever and I&apos;m so glad to see this video. Ever since I follow you i have been staying away from box dye, but also had terrible experiences in the saloon (they fried my hair for two years so much so, that i lost my curl pattern) I have been taking care of it diy for 3 years now, colour, cut, care, everything! Your videos really did help me learn a lot so thank you! Keep rocking
