This is such a great song and it gave me an idea for a DND character. A mage bard. She's a bard with an enchanted necklace that can summon and play all the instruments for any song she sings. When she's in battle she can use her songs to attack, defend, and make status effects on teammates and opponents. While she just cast get magic normally, she prefers to sing instead.

For those who have issues with following lyrics embedded on a video:

The mud is drying on our boots
We're finally back to humble roots

Leave the armor by the door
We aren't fighting anymore

The road was long, the mountains steep
We earned the place where we will sleep

But sleep can wait, the fire is high
And sparks are dancing in the sky

So spin around and catch the light!
We own the darkness of the night!
Tomorrow brings the steel and sorrow,
We do not care about tomorrow!
Grab a hand and hold it fast!
Make this golden moment last,
The world is wild, but we survive!
Tonight, my Friends we are alive!

Forget the monsters in the dark,
forget the bite, forget the mark.

Look at the faces gathered here,
We chose to laugh instead of fear

The ale is cold, the hearth is warm
We found our shelter from the storm

The heavy pack, the heavy heart
tonight we tear them all apart!

So spin around and catch the light!
We own the darkness of the night!
Tomorrow brings the steel and sorrow,
we do not care about tomorrow!
Grab a hand and hold it fast!
Make this golden moment last!
The world is wild, but we survive!
Tonight, my friends, we are alive!

They say that heroes stand alone
upon a cold and jagged stone.

But look at us, the circle turns!
This is how the spirit burns!

We are the wild! We are the free!
This is where we're meant to be!

The moon is watching from above
a silent witness to our love!

For every step that led us here
For every danger we came near

We pay the price with sweat and bone
but in this life we're not alone

So lift your head and stomp the ground
Let them hear our joyful sound!

Spin around and catch the light!
We own the darkness of the night!

Spin around and catch the light!
We own the darkness of the night!
Tomorrow brings the steel and sorrow,
we do not care about tomorrow!
Grab a hand and hold it fast!
Make this golden moment last!
The world is wild, but we survive!
Tonight my friends, we are alive!

Yeah!
We are alive!
(Tonight tonight)
Let the shadows wait!
We are alive!

I'm about to give this song the highest praise I can muster...
This song just brought back memories of journeys long past. Journeys to help the one known as the "Hero of Time" first saving a kingdom from a Power hungry Sorcerer King of the Gerudo Desert. As well as later saving another kingdom from a crashing moon. Thank you. Such wonderful memories...

(Non-RP Translation- This song gave me flashbacks to my first time beating the Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask (my top 2 favorite Zelda games) and the end credits celebrations of both from childhood. Thank you so much for that. This made my day!)

CHEERS!🍻

Imagine this song sung after a final battle and every one celebrates and even foes that some how survived became friends. Think the end of The owl house, where Luz ( the main character) talks about the rebuilding of the Boiling Isles. Like the code ditching the dark armor and talked to people

i started playing DND when i was about 13. im 47 currently and have always loved dnd. it spawned so much RPG elements that most have 0 clue about. But for the old guys like us, we remember and appreciate DND for making a lot of video game rpg's what they are today. Hell even other table top games. DND is seriously underated.

All the fantasy stuff you see? Probably already done 100x over in DND.

Gary Gygax im sure would love this song and he'd be there drinking a beer with the rest of us.

RIP Gary

But we toast you TONIGHT WE ARE ALIVE!!!!

This is the part of the adventure no one skips—the night around the fire with the people who made it home. 🍻

I imagine a group of adventurers returning to a village after defeating a great evil and their friends and families awaiting them, and the entire village comes together to celebrate with this song playing

Lovers holding one another and kissing joyfully
Sons and daughters hugging their parents
Brothers and sisters sharing drinks and food
Friends dancing in shared mirth

And stories being shared, stories that will be passed down for generations to come

And those stories are passed down only because the adventurers returned

Because they’re alive
