Diagonal Porky gets the same reaction out of me as Diagonal Kris (good video, happy to help provide some spritework!)

The one weak point of the fanmade game community is it's made by people who have beaten it blindfolded 5000 times. It's stupid hard if you're just playing it for the 3rd or 4th time since it came out.

I've spent a lot of time on it over the years so it's fun to see the general public at large give their take on it. Keep up the good work!

Your point about some bosses being a matter of sheer luck is pretty much spot on. For these bosses, my main concern was not how to formulate a proper strategy or grinding for a high enough level (unlocking stronger abilities), but mainly repeating the same fight, over and over, hoping that the given boss wouldn’t use a one-hit-KO attack that I had zero defense against. That, or being left with a string of fatal attacks and/or notifications that ran down the health counter (like being hit with lightning attacks), so that I couldn’t heal in time. May as well remove the rolling health entirely, or rebalance how much damage certain attacks actually give, so that every turn doesn’t leave you fatally wounded.

Fun Fact: The Skip Sandwich item has it's use changed from being a speed up item to being akin to a Pokemon Repel.

The outro could be something like “Porky bot mechanically ends the video” in mother 3 text

I’m bewildered how they fit this all on authentic hardware

I died more times with Ness going into Twoson in Mother 2 Deluxe than I've died in my entirety of playing EarthBound 20 times.

this looks like the kind of thing that would be cool as hell for an americanized release but it's only in japan

9:10 It's just "Gēg" but is overzealously translated, as the "yiy" is supposed to be a very subtle lowering and raising of the tone.
