Having grown up in the presence of Mrs Young. She was a kind hearted lady. A lovely soul who inspired me to go on to join the RAF. She was haunted her entire life by what happened. In her later life I did a few odd jobs around her bungalow replacing flooring etc and after speaking a great length with her she did finely find some peace. God bless Mrs Young and poor Susan.

Well I think you done Susan young proud. A young girl who shouldn’t ever be forgotten. You described jimmy lang Kay correctly he is a monster and a repeat sexual predator offender, 27 injuries with a broken bottle to a young schoolgirl’s throat deserves the death penalty in my opinion he prove he was a life long danger to any woman he came across.
And there were many more injuries thank you. He really was a narcissist and a truly evil man. It’s good to know this 12 year old girl has never been forgotten. She still has family in the area. And the family have lots of friends
Thanks it was very respectful.

I grew up in Hindley. This incident was before my time but I was aware of it via my Family. My Great Aunt lived on the Lancaster Rd estate and, even a few years after this incident she always watch where I was if I was outside at hers. I thought she was over reacting as, like you said, everyone knew everyone and who should be on the street but this kind of incident does make people paranoid.

Thankfully it was an isolated incident and Hindley was a fantastic place to grow up and you found some great pictures in the video that brought back some happy memories.

RIP to Susan and Audrey.

Thank you for watching. The level of deception in this case—and the system failures that followed — are deeply frustrating. What do you think was the biggest failure of justice for Susan Young and her family?👇

Let me know your thoughts below.📌

If you want to support the channel and make sure you don't miss our next true crime deep dive, consider subscribing: https://www.youtube.com/@CriminalIntentArchives?sub_confirmation=1

Hi mate, i came across Criminal Intent Archives about a week ago when the channel had roughly 50 subscribers, and I’ve just seen that you’ve now passed 1,000—with the Wigan Killer video reaching over 57,000 views. That’s an incredible surge, so massive congratulations!

I am from around that area and know Hindley well. However I never had any knowledge of this and it was two years before my time. Childhood in that time. Everybody knew each other literally I remember going into the neighbours house. There was respect for elderly people and would help them with what ever was needed. Children could explore the area without the fear there is today. But that was the community then. It was all working class people that had grown up together. Building swings in the woods and going home for tea is what I remember. The neighbour was a huge support. Because it was about helping and sharing then. It is sad and horrific to this crime. ❤ thanks for including the old photographs.
