Many of my favorite quotes in this sermon. Hard sayings but necessary especially in these times.

Take a look at a flour sifter from the time she wrote it. The good usable flour sifts through the screen into the bowl and the unusable are sifted and stay in the sifter as clods sticking together until being dumped out and discarded

The mistake the conference makes is manifold. They make pointing out error and inappropriate policies as if this was sin. They mistake “church” for “conference”. They are conveniently confused on this point. They seek to rule over the brethren as do the gentiles, feeling themselves well qualified, and far superior to the brethren who pay their bills. They consider themselves infallible, just as the Papacy would. If they considered themselves fallible, they would accept criticism with the responsibility to admit wrongs, and strive to remedy any malfeasances and errors. I could go on, but suffice it to say that they have taken upon themselves the traits of the Roman Papacy, and the Pharisees of Jesus’ day.

Dr. Vine every church needs the Holy Spirit. The focus should be in the importance of Jesus and the Holy Spirit to give discernment and to give us the correct words and the right say to say things. Watchmen and women for a church is not helpful if they do not have the indwelling of Jesus. Right! Remember the girl that followed Paul and was stating over and over what what true but actually Paul cast a demon out of her. Even if you are speaking truth over and over you can do it in a way that distracts from the True Gospel. The message to Laodicea shows Jesus standing at the door and knocking. We are told that if we open the door Jesus will come in and dine with us and we can obtain everything we need to be the great Watchman on the wall ! ! !

It seems to me that your gospel is your narrative about the church. It seems that this is what you are the most interested. Your focus is on us and what we need to do but Ellen Harmon's first vision said that we should keep our eyes on Jesus. If we look at the church and that becomes the most interesting thing for us to talk about it seems to me that we are at risk of taking our eyes off of Jesus and at risk of falling off of the path.

Sure much of what you seem to preach about seems correct, except you do seem to need to combine this with the Power of God, the Holy Spirit that will give one the guidance that is needed to complete those wonderful responsibilities to reprove and point out errors.

If we are trying to share the three angles messages and to stand up for truth then we are in harmony with what God wants and we are his children and we are the apple of God's eye. He tells us that if we want a mountain to move from one place to another that we can ask for that it and it will happen. That means that Jesus can give us the right mental orientation and the right way of helping our brethren to correct there paths with the most productive outcomes. On the other hand if we do this work without Jesus and without the Holy Spirit then we can do more harm than good. So Dr. Vine don't you think that you are missing this???? Please consider talking about God's power to help with the correct discernment of sin and the boldness and the correct manner to help other people overcome their sins and errors.

Thank you

The statement that God’s true church is completely “unidentifiable” until after the Sunday law goes too far. The Bible identifies God’s visible remnant movement before the final crisis by its loyalty to God’s commandments and the testimony of Jesus (Revelation 12:17), and by its proclamation of the three angels’ messages (Revelation 14:6–12). Ellen White also clearly taught that God works through an organized body, not merely through scattered, independent believers.

However, we cannot presently identify every individual who will finally compose the purified church. The organized church now is the church militant, a mixture of faithful and unfaithful people. When Sunday observance is enforced and the Sabbath truth is plainly presented, the final line of distinction will be drawn. Some now within the church will leave, while faithful believers presently outside it will take their stand with God’s people.

Therefore, the church is identifiable now as an organized, prophetic movement, but the final membership of the church triumphant will not be fully revealed until the shaking and Sunday law crisis. “The church will not fall” means Christ will preserve and purify His church, not that every present member, leader, institution, or administrative decision is guaranteed to remain faithful.
