My mother used to love Amy Winehouse, she died of cancer 13 years ago and I'm now 14. Her name is also Amy. I love Amy Winehouse's songs because it’s really the only thing i can remember her by, all her pictures were left behind in my old home.
-
Edit: Thank you for all the support i appreciate everything<3

Another Edit (2 and a half years later, 17 now!) Thank you to everyone that keeps commenting on this post, I miss her everyday but once in a while one of you’s’s comments pop up and it puts my mind to ease. Thank you for all the support <3

Edit number 3: another thank you to all the lovely commenters that are being supportive, to those whom don't believe it, screw off! my mother is dead and that's an irrefutable fact. what do you want, her death certificate? jesus. anyways, to those who have left lovely notes, I appreciate that you've taken time out of your day to bless me with your kindness 💗 you're appreciated tons, and gosh I can't believe I'm still here after so many years! I'm now 20, not so much thriving, but I'm doing my best 🌸

Amy is timeless. She's been gone 9 years, but her music is better than what's on the radio now.

No auto tune. No pitch correction. No backing track or ghost singers. This is legit great singing. 95% of today's posers and frauds cannot touch this level of talent.

It's 2023 and this is still my favorite cut of this song. Just her and a guitar. Damn she could sing. ❤
