And here I thought surge pricing was bad... Victorian shelters literally turned away a mother with a dying child because it was after hours and 'rules are rules.' The way everyone just accepted this as normal is both terrifying and heartbreaking. Brilliantly tale!

I'm from London and I'll confirm that attitudes towards the homeless haven't changed much. It's sad really just how that mentality is still sown into the average persons subconscious.
