I love Victorian era, but most of the time it's about fancy stuff. Hearing about daily life of everyday people in this period is kind of refreshing. I like the narrating style too, soothing mix with dry humors. What a lovely video. Thank you.

If only history in schools was taught at this level to show children that historical people were just like us. Everyone, at all times, just did the best they could with what they knew and had to work with.

My great grandfather was just such a shopkeeper in London. He died young.

This is my go to channel for bed every night. Around 10 pm I’ll listen for a good 20 min before I fall asleep. Then realized I want to finish the rest of the episode so save these to my playlist and listen on my drive to work (Chicago IL btw)
