  I saw Norm Abram make a mortise and tenon using a dowel to pin it like you described. He offset one of the dowel holes by a small amount and used a decent taper on the dowel. As he hammered the dowel in, the offset pulled the joint tight.

  xTool is like the Bambu Lab of lasers! I was fully expecting this to cost $15k as equipped here, but was honestly surprised to see it’s half that. Still a lot of money, but to think you can get this in your garage with this amount of power and features in a turn-key package is sort of bonkers. <br><br>I’m loving this era of David’s creativity and seeing how he incorporates all these different machines and techniques. I resisted tech in the workshop for a long time, but after caving and getting my first 3d printer (Bambu) it feels like a new superpower has been unlocked! It really does expand your creative horizons. What a time to be alive.
