I took a group to Takao-Yama last September. It was gorgeous, and I highly recommend it for anyone wanting the mountain experience but don't want the overly touristy experience of taking a Fuji-Yama tour.

this is such a great video. for 90% of folks, after you spend 3-4 weeks total in tokyo (across a couple of trips), you realize how sort of repetitive the entire area is. so it's really nice to have this large list of day trips that are a really great change of pace from what you are subjected to when you stay in Tokyo.

I enjoyed Nikko, eating ramen at Santenamataro with a beautiful and quiet view, visiting the temples, Kanmangafuchi Abyss... and being french, I was also emotional to be at the place where Tiphaine Véron disappeared.<br>It was a mix of emotions.
