I dont think the main argument is that vanilla is harder. Its that thats the way the game was intended, isolated, scarse resources, every bullet counts. where heavily modded servers add a few interesting but mostly oversaturated things in the mix. Its not about survival anymore. Me personaly get both sides but heavily modded servers is more for sweaty pvp and less immersion wether vanilla is more about the journey and the isolation and immersion you get from playing in this apocalyptic world. I think its a good thing there is space for both so people who prefer the adventure dont get overrun by wiggling sweats all the time, the screen just goes black lmao anyway, hope you have fun! thats all that matters in gaming

played my first basically vanilla server about a year ago on TDB Sakhal. Absolutely loved the survival aspect, yes its not as hard as no stamina and stuff, but personally i like vanilla but with full stam hahha great video tho frfr

Its weird, I played a tiny bit of vanilla then straight to modded for years... Now I feel like I just can't enjoy it when its too modded, It needs to be like Vanilla with maybe some new weapons/map lore/quest. No sleeping bags, no trader, some modded building that is basically vanilla building.
So seeing videos like this make me smile from start to finish, its just so much better of a game when its vanilla/vanilla+ imho
I really really wish I had a little crew
