Qualcuno mi può spiegare cosa c'è di originale in tutto questo, rispetto a quanto afferma Francisco Varela (che qui non viene neppure citato) ?

Francisco Valera 1979. Principles of Biological Autonomy. Valera’s term nomic structural coupling solves the problem of past autopoeitic whole instructing present operational closure (Ralph Stacey’s critique) by making causality true but uninteresting to the observing system. If I could see and list that causality chain of reactions of ant system achieving autopoeitic nondestructive closure it would be the basis of the observed action but effectively irrelevant to my understanding of its function. Much as an analysis of acoustic sounds and phonemes is irrelevant to my understanding of what someone just said to me. Causality is deterministicly true but trivially true. Same goes for the structurally coupled autopoeitic system. One adjusts as though to global properties of the other at distance from physical points of contact or the non-living output like sound and light from a distance. It is action based on illusion of past wholistic properties instructing the present. There is only present adjustment sorting what causality is relevant to some other causality. The embodied living system achieved a separation from determinism in effect but not reality. Fundamental uncertainty is at the active relations of the system itself to the illusion of coherent other and world it renders through local action now. <br>Thomas Fuchs here calls that transcending the body or embodied living system.
