Hey Tristan! This medley of several songs from the movie K-Pop Demon Hunters is easily one of the greatest medleys ever! Layne's arrangement is absolutely GENIUS! Their singing in Korean was impressive (many Korean speakers said they did so flawlessly!) You should rewatch it with their captions because they show the Korean along with the English translation...and also where we, the patron choir, sing on the final song! It was brilliant of Layne to think of including us, because it so completely illustrates one of the main focuses of the movie; we are stronger (and more beautiful) together. When the choir sings, there are a thousand points of light showing behind them in various colors, representing all their patrons! I have NEVER seen a group include their patrons in something like this, and it truly built a sense of belonging and that we are, in some small way, collaborators with them, not just in this but in our support of them. Almost like a team-building exercise, and that is GENIUS!!! Every one of them had the space to REALLY shine in this beautiful arrangement, and man, shine they did! Grace is such a powerhouse of a vocalist, and I hope they find an occasion to collaborate with her again! 💜

Thanks for your reaction! You may want to put Layne's closed captions (not You Tube's closed captions) on next time you watch this as it translates the parts they are singing and rapping in Korean and also highlights the background vocals from Voice Play's 70 member patron choir in the final song, "This Is What It Sounds Like".😃

Thanks, Tristan, for more VoicePlay! VoicePlay are gifted when arranging medleys. Grace is wonderful; her first time guesting with VP. One of VoicePlay's many talents is inviting the perfect collaborator to sing with them then folding them seamlessly into the group. Grace finished 3rd on American Idol Season 19.
Layne's arrangement is fire. His CGI "VoicePlay" soda can is fun too. They have some related merch in their store. When Geoff is giving us a B0 subharmonic, it's always Layne's doing. He made Geoff sing those background arpeggios (2.5 octaves in 3 bars) too.

I wish that I had been brave and submitted a track for that patron choir in "This is What It Sounds Like." Regrets because Layne invited us and used everything patrons sent them! VP does their own closed captions and especially good to leave cc turned on as there is good info there. When they are singing in Korean, both the Korean and English translation are shown. Geoff previously arranged a short of "Golden" that VoicePlay released in August 2025.
From Layne's comments in the video description: We were able to include our Patrons voices in the final chant at the end of this medley, which made the project incredibly special to us. If you haven't seen it, this movie is all about embracing who you are, facing your inner demons, and finding strength together—and getting to literally build that moment with our Patrons felt exactly right. If you’re not already a part of our Patreon community, consider joining us! And a huge thank you goes out to all of our amazing Patrons who participated!

More fun is on the horizon. Pattycake Productions (co-owned by Layne and VP's former baritone, Tony) posted a teaser on YT and their social media on Sept. 18th for their original song "Home is Where the Haunt Is" (based on the Disney's Haunted Mansion ride) featuring Geoff. https://www.youtube.com/shorts/ATVbQzlGE2k Will be Geoff's first appearance in a Pattycake music video. (no release date announced yet ) I assume that it's likely to come out very early in October for Halloween on Pattycake's channel.
