Thanks for posting. I was there at the Convention for this speech. His beautiful vision for who and what our country could be has stayed with me ever since. RIP Rev. Jackson.

A moving and uplifting speech shared by millions of Americans of all colors. It could be delivered today because its message is still quite relevant and actually sorely needed. Unfortunately, there is no one alive today who can deliver it. Jesse Jackson, RIP

Another brilliant speech from the man who should have been the first Black President of the United States! He would have worked to unite the country and lead us in the right direction as a nation, and a true beacon of hope for the world. At the least, he should have been chosen to be the vice presidential candidate.

I remember watching this with my dad as a junior in high school and my dad had tears running down his face watching it. It was truly history making and we need another Jesse Jackson to come along, although there will never be another Jesse Jackson.
