My great grandmother used to say that it was way wetter and there was way more rain, springs and water in the lakes, rivers and air back in the early 1920s and 30s when she grew up, and when her parents were little in the 1800’s, so technically the weather, including rainfall and average precipitation is going back to normal the way things used to be in the old days. What we are used to is actually not how it’s supposed to be and places like the desert Southwest USA or the Sahara desert in Africa, where lush and forested. To me the super El Niño is actually the Earth healing itself and we are finally getting the rainfall that all the native Americans have been praying for for generations.

In Tucson!🌵We are grateful for the extra rain we have received this summer, and less 100+ temperatures. We are not worried. We pray for rain. More often than not storms come so close and miss us. But we enjoy the clouds they bring. If we are blessed with rainfall, thunder and lightning, we celebrate.

Kauai. -  we had Lowell which was very strong and very damaging to our island.  We lost much of our roof and it has been a nightmare. The north shore, Waeniha and Haena had the corse of the river change direction.  <br>I pray to God that things calm down.  My Lord and my God - Jesus🙏🏼🙏🌴

Here in Mérida, Yucatán, México. As you said, cero hurricane activity. Water gulf temperature is very high. Very strong north-east breeze predominantly. <br>Also lots of unusual rains with strong squals. <br>The sun radiation is unbearable... Very strong, very different from 40 or 50 years ago.

From Lebanon,TN<br>We have been suffering with severe drought almost a month now with no measurable rain. The humidity has made it feel like it’s in the hundred degree mark. Was hoping for some kind of relief which we finally got a little bit of. I had a feeling it’s gonna be really cold this year, but I don’t know was hoping it would be snow. But then nobody go anywhere.

San Diego - unusual sea life sightings reported multiple times late this summer up and down the coast of California, apparently because the water is warmer than usual for an extended period of time. And this was also an unusually uncomfortable SoCal summer - too hot, too humid.
