Spot on!! England only won the semi-final game after Haaland had to go off, Norway looked lost without Haaland up front. Would have loved to see Spain vs Haaland.

If it's going to be anything near fair, haaland should be given the ballon this year since he got robbed from it once. He carried Norway to the WC and a quarterfinal, that's a more impressive achievement than any footballers today could do. If he does not get it now he should just dodge the whole ballon in the future even if they want to give it to him later.

I think he deserves it. I also think that he doesn't care too much about it. I think to him, the awards he receives based on his performance in racking up goals is what he really cares about. There's no subjectivity involved in that, no bias, no opinions of journalists and other people - just stats. Games and championships and awards like the Golden Boot are based on goals scored, which he delivers.
