Four years ago the algorithm suggest a video by someone called Bernadette Banner where they were unboxing an antique sewing machine. I couldn’t look away. I kept asking myself, why am, I 50 something year old man, who has no interest in sewing, watching this?! Then Bernadette found some shells in the machine toolbox. “I KNOW WHAT THEY ARE!!” (I teach marine science to primary school kids). Fast forward to today and I’ve joined the Society for Creative Anachronism, I’m working on a Tudor costume for myself, yesterday I purchased a dressmaker female mannequin my wife’s size, and you have NO IDEA how excited I am to watch this episode as I’m planning on making my wife a kirtle!

When maths gives you lemons, thoughtfully munch a pop-tart.

I have to tell you. My macho, history major, long haul truck driver &nbsp;husband sat watching this video absolutely FASCINATED. I mean he put his phone down and watched the entire video asking questions. And he now understands why I work on my hand stitching. Thank you for being out there.

The &quot;find out your trim is too short, bemoan it loudly, existentially eat a pastry, rustle up some scraps from the stash to fill the gap, and whisper &apos;piecing is period&apos; to yourself&quot; progression was so deeply relatable.

I&apos;ve missed you making these types of videos. I love all of your content, but this takes me back to your pre-Covid videos ❤

Having been schooled in hand sewing from an early age, I find your handwork a thing of absolute wonder because I know exactly what it takes to achieve the uniformity your work displays. <br>Kudos from a Boomer with a needle in North Texas!

hey bernadette, have you consider remaking your wardrop tour video from a couple years back? many of the things you make nowdays seem to be made as parts of larger projects rather than personal use, it would be intresting to see what has stayed in your possesion, what get used by you the most throughout daily life etc. in general, a video like that could be a low-effort trip down memory lane for us the viewers and revisiting your older projects
